Cunard has announced that its 249th ship will officially be named Queen Anne. The ship will join the storied cruise line’s remarkable fleet composed of the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth. The introduction of Queen Anne will mark the first time since 1999 that Cunard will have four active ships at sea.

“The name Queen Anne celebrates Cunard's rich heritage, royal history, and refined status - joining a luxury contemporary fleet now honoring the names of each Queen Regnant over the last millennium.”

The official name was announced via video from Cunard:

Queen Anne will feature a number of Cunard signature spaces as well as introduce new guest experiences in dining, entertainment, and more. All will be combined with Cunard’s signature outstanding White Star Service. The vessel’s design will combine the past, present, and the new future look of the Cunard livery. The decor will feature bold tones with a striking aesthetic, all while keeping in line with Cunard’s timeless sophisticated look.
