Celebrity Apex Makes Arrival Into North America
Celebrity Cruises’ newest ship, the Celebrity Apex, made its official arrival into the Celebrity fleet with a grand welcome by its sister ships. As the Apex made its way into the Bahamas following its maiden Transatlantic voyage, the Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Reflection, Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Equinox, and Celebrity Summit were on hand to greet the Apex with a horn salute and special formation. Celebrity Apex is scheduled to be deployed from Port Everglades for the winter 2020-2021 season and will sail Caribbean itineraries. The ship was initially slated to make its debut in April 2020, however, it faced many delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The latest Edge-class luxury vessel from Celebrity, Apex promises a premium, creative and multisensory experience that the line has become known for having. Onboard, guests will find 29 Michelin-quality bars and restaurants, and exquisite spaces designed by London-based Kelly Hoppen and Tom Wright of Burj Al Arab fame. With the Edge class, Celebrity has stepped up its entertainment game with productions developed by Black Skull Creative. Shows in the main theater will be spread across seven stages for a one-of-a-kind experience.
Celebrity Apex is home to 1,467 reimagined staterooms which start at around 200 square feet - 20% larger than in previous classes. Accommodations feature neutral tones and premium eXhale linens, and Celebrity's exclusive Cashmere mattress. The ship’s Concierge or AquaClass staterooms offer premium amenities without full-freight fares. Apex also has specialty cabins for singles, families, and handicapped travelers.
