Carnival Shares 2025 Rebranding Plans for P&O Australia Ships
Carnival Cruise Line has shared new details on the changes in store as the cruise operator prepares to expand to four ships in Australia beginning in March 2025. As announced earlier this year, Carnival will add P&O Cruises’ Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter to its fleet, rebranded as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.
P&O’s favorite dining and entertaining options will remain on both ships while introducing Carnival’s signature “Fun Ship” experience.
Following are some of the new features guests can look forward to experiencing onboard Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter:
- Carnival’s Iconic Fun Squad: The Fun Squad brings the fun spirit and energy of Carnival Cruise Line to each sailing. This group will host everything from comedy shows to trivia, deck parties, and games.
- Turtles Kids Club: This brand-new childcare program for children under two, will offer arts and crafts, storytime, dancing, and sensory play, under the guidance of qualified childcare professionals.
- Free Daily Pizza: Guests can indulge in unlimited slices of pizza, served daily between 11 am and 4 pm.
- Carnival Favorites: For the first time on these ships, guests will enjoy beloved Carnival activities like Build-A-Bear workshops, Conga for Kids line dance party, and 80s Rock and Glow nights.
Returning sailors can look forward to the return of a range of P&O favorites, including Byron Beach Club, the Edge Adventure Park, and the Blanc de Blanc show. Returning eateries include Luke Mangan’s specialty restaurant, Luke’s Bar & Grill, Angelo’s, and Dragon Lady.
“P&O fans will recognize many of their favorite dining and entertainment options, while experiencing the added fun and flair that Carnival is famous for around the world,” said Carnival Cruise Line VP Guest Experience, Deborah Cogin.
2025 Australia Itineraries
Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will undergo a two-week wet dock in March 2025 before emerging as Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, under the Carnival Cruise Line banner.Once rebranded, Carnival Adventure will sail year-round from Sydney, joining Carnival Splendor. Carnival Encounter will homeport in Brisbane year-round, with Carnival Luminosa joining during the summer season.
In 2025, nearly 600,000 guests are expected to sail from Sydney and Brisbane with Carnival Cruise Line, as Australia’s most popular cruise line.
