American Cruise Line’s latest Coastal Cat vessel America Legend set sail this week from Florida for its first-ever cruise. The vessel’s maiden voyage is an 8-day Florida Gulf Coast & Keys itinerary.

This voyage sails roundtrip from St. Petersburg, with visits to Marco Island, Key West, and Punta Gorda, and offers an optional pre-cruise hotel stay in Tampa. The cruise explores Florida’s Gulf Coast, with shoreside excursions in every port-of-call including a full-day exploration of Dry Tortugas National Park.

American Legend will be christened on Wednesday, November 27th when the ship is docked at Mallory Square in Key West. DeeDee Henriquez, Mayor of Key West, will serve as the ship’s godmother. On Thursday, November 28th, Thanksgiving will be celebrated on board with a traditional holiday meal.

The new vessel is the 19th small ship from American Cruise Line and the fourth Coastal Cat. American Legend accommodates up to 100 guests, with onboard features including a modern interior, multiple dining venues, a bow observation area, a sun deck with a walking track, a fitness center, and an activity/tender platform.
