New Cruise Ships in 2023
Nothing beats being one of the first onboard a brand new ship and posting pictures on social media to strike envy in the hearts of others. So with 2023 just around the corner, we’ve compiled the list of new ships making their debut in the coming year. The following cruise lines (alphabetically) will have new ships entering service in 2023 to wow guests of all ages in ports worldwide.
Carnival Cruise Line - Carnival Jubilee
Making a splash in October 2023, the Carnival Jubilee is a nod to the original MS Jubliee, which launched in 1985. The new Carnival Jubilee will set sail from Southampton on October 30, 2023, making its first voyage across the Atlantic with an 18-night sailing ending in Galveston, Texas. The ship will homeport for the winter 2023-24 season in Galveston, sailing a 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary.

Celebrity Cruises - Celebrity Ascent
The fourth ship in the Edge Class, Celebrity Ascent, welcomes guests onboard starting December 3, 2023, for a 7-night Eastern Caribbean sailing from Fort Lauderdale. The ship will homeport for the winter 2023-24 season in Fort Lauderdale, offering a variety of 7-night itineraries to various ports in the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

MSC Cruises - MSC Euribia
The MSC Euribia will set sail in June 2023, sailing 7-night Norwegian Fjord cruises from Kiel, Germany, before moving to the Mediterranean with 4 and 5-night departures from Genoa, Italy. The ship will feature state-of-the-art technology and will be one of the first LNG-powered ships. The ship's unique hull design and paint will serve as a floating piece of art and a reminder to all who see her that MSC Cruises is dedicated to protecting natural resources and the environment.
Norwegian Cruise Line - Norwegian Viva
The inaugural sailing for Norwegian Viva departs on June 15, 2023, from Lisbon, sailing a 9-night one-way journey to Rome. The ship will spend all summer of 2023 cruising the Mediterranean before heading across the Atlantic (in Nov 2023) to its homeport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for 7-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean.
Oceania Cruises - Oceania Vista
Debuting on April 14, 2023, in Rome, the ship will set sail for 12 nights through the Mediterranean to Barcelona. The Oceania Vista will spend its first year in service, taking passengers throughout the Mediterranean and the British Isles, then across the Atlantic to Canada/New England. The ship then transitions to Mexico via the Panama Canal.
Princess Cruises - Sphere Class
Debuting in Fall 2023, the first Princess Sphere Class vessel will be approximately 175,000 tons, with the capacity to carry 4,300 guests and hold the record as the largest ship in the fleet and the largest ship built in Italy. The ship began construction in September 2021, but few details have emerged on this vessel, including its name. Currently, the vessel is known by its shipyard number C-6310.

Regent Seven Seas - Seven Seas Grandeur
The pinnacle of luxury and ocean cruising, the Seven Seas Grandeur welcomes guests on November 25, 2023, for a 14-night transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami. The ship will then call Miami and Los Angeles home, offering a variety of 7-16-night Caribbean and Panama Canal sailings. The vessel is a nod to Regent Seven Seas heritage of delivering a first-in-class luxury experience while simultaneously elevating the standard of excellence with opulent suites and richly appointed public areas.

Royal Caribbean - Icon of the Seas
The Icon of the Seas keel-laying ceremony was the first vessel in an all-new class of ships, which took place in April 2022 in Turku, Finland, at the shipyard. The ship is expected to debut in Fall 2023, but most details on the vessel are being held for future releases.

Seabourn Cruise Line - Seabourn Pursuit
The second ship of Seabourn's expedition class, the Seabourn Pursuit, will be on April 4, 2023, from Reykjavik for a 14-night sailing around Iceland and including stops in Greenland. In the inaugural season, the Seabourn Pursuit will visit Northern Europe, Iceland, and Greenland and sail the Northwest Passage and the West Coasts of both North and South America.

Viking Cruises - Viking Saturn
The Viking Saturn joins her award-winning all-verandah sister ships holding only 930 guests. Debuting in April 2023, the 47,800-ton Viking Saturn will spend her inaugural season sailing the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Virgin Voyages - Resilient Lady
Initially scheduled for 2022, the line has announced a delayed start until 2023 for Resilient Lady. The delay impacts sailings from August 14, 2022, through May 3, 2023. Virgin Voyages cited "global challenges like supply chain, crew staffing, and regional issues" as the reason for the canceled sailings.
The Resilient Lady is now scheduled to welcome seafarers on May 14, 2023, in Athens for a 7-night Greek Isle itinerary. The Resilient Lady will homeport in Athens until October 2023, when it will transition down under, calling Melbourne, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand home.
