Port Q&A Comes to Shipmate

Are you cruising soon? If so, you’ve likely got questions about the ports your upcoming voyage visits. Based on the successful launch of our Ship Q&A, Shipmate has rolled out a new port-focused Q&A feature. 

Looking for the best excursions in Cabo San Lucas? Trying to find a restaurant to eat at near the port in Cozumel? Need a hotel suggestion in Rome? Our friendly members of Shipmate (likely) have the answers to help you plan your vacation! 

When you submit any of your port-related questions, our community of thousands of seasoned sailors will be there to assist. You can get real advice from fellow travelers who have visited the ports and can make recommendations. If you're knowledgeable about a destination, we invite you to share your expertise and answer questions shared by your fellow cruisers. 

Here’s how to ask a question using the new Port Q&A feature on Shipmate: 

1. Go to the Port page where you would like to ask a question.
2. Select the Q&A Button 
   • Android: Select the blue circle with a “+” icon. iOS: Select the “Ask” button on the Right navigation button.
3. From here you can type in your port-related question for fellow community members to reply. 
4. Hit the blue ‘Ask’ button. 
5. Your question will now appear in the Q&A section of the port page. 

Here’s how to reply to a question using the Shipmate Port Q&A feature: 

1. Go to the Port page in which you would like to reply to a question. Select the Q&A Button. 
2. Under the question which you would like to answer, click the ‘Answer Question’ link.  
3. Type in your reply, and select ‘Answer’ to submit the response.
