Very good time

We really had a good time on this cruise. The ports of call were nice. At. St. Thomase we took a ferry to St. John and spent the day at Trunk Bay. We have been to the area a number of times and St. John is very nice. We took along our 7 and 4 year old and we were a bit disappointed with the pool situation. There was an 'adults only' pool located in the aft of the ship. The 'kids' pool was a little deep for our 4 and 7 years olds, so our kids and most others of the same height spent most of the time playing in the hot tubs with kids their size. Not ideal for kids or adults wishing to relax.

Cruise tips

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We didn't do an excursion with the ship here either, we took a cab over the island to the Red Hook ferry and went to St.John. From there we hoped a cab to Trunk Bay, which is run by the National Park Service and spent the day on the beach and did some snorkelling. All the food and rec gear is very resonible because it's run or managed by the NPS. St. John his very nice because there isn't too much commercialization as most of the islands land was donated to the government, but it has to be preserved.

Nassau, Bahamas

We took a cab from the ship to the beach that adjoins Atlantis and some other resorts. For my kids they just need water and sand - they are happy. Nice time all under $40. Some of the locals will attempt to sell you and unbrella and you should negotiate that price.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Very nice, spent the day at Dawn Beach. Very nice little beach bar at Dawn with .75 (american) bottled beers. A far cry from any alcohol prices on the ship.
