Cruise tips

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Beautiful port. Beware there is a really long walk from the ship to this port, however if you need assistance, there is a shuttle train that can take you from the boat to a port. My husband and I did some shopping at this port. The cool thing is that they do have a huge pool to relax in and the dolphin and the sting ray exhibit is here so you can watch that as well, if you didn’t purchase it as an excursion. I suggest you Definitely book an excursion to this port because you’ll just keep walking around in circles. There is a travel advisory here due to crime, so you have to be really careful if you do exit.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

This Island was BEAUTIFUL!!! They had small fish that came and swam with you. The DJ was amazing, and they drinks were good. Overall i really enjoyed myself. Definitely my favorite port

Nassau, Bahamas

I loved this port. My husband and i went right after hurricane Irma, so everything was just coming back. We didn’t do any excursions, but decided just to take a walk around the city, and shop, and find a beach. We walked through the shops, and bought a few things, and kept walking further into town, and we met a local that showed us to the “Fish Fry”, and he was awesome, and we tried Conch for the first time. The people there are so friendly. We bought our own snorkeling gear and just chilled at the beach. We are from New Orleans, and it was amazing that so many locals knew so much about my home town that it made us feel like home. They do have people trying to sell you stuff, and yeah it can be a little overwhelming and somewhat annoying, but once you realize that that’s how they make money and feed their families it’s not that big of a deal. We enjoyed ourselves, and will be back again.

Miami, Florida

Had a blast in Miami. My husband and I only stayed one night before we were set to board our cruise, but we will definitely be back soon!! I loved the food, music, drinks, nightlife, and my hotel was beautiful. We cannot wait to visit again :)
