The biggest ship in the world

My husband and I have cruised with Royal Caribbean in the past and have always been pleased and bragged about the cruise line and the ship (we love the voyager class ships). We were excited to spend our 20th anniversary aboard the largest ship in the world. We found the ship to be beautiful and packed with things to do, but it was difficult to do them because there were so many people. We stood in line a lot. If you were not at the Windjammer early for breakfast it was difficult to get a table, same for a pool chair on days at sea, seats in the theater for shows, and so on. Our dinning table (and I have always loved the dinning room) felt very cramped and was not much on romantic ambiance. We found the Windjammer in the evenings to be a much better atmosphere and peaceful. It felt as if the ship was just big enough to add staterooms for the additional 1,000 people but not much space was added to the ammenities (dining room, theater, ice rink, elevators etc.) to accomodate the additional people on board.

Cruise tips

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

I loved the beaches here! You could be in the shade or lounging under a tree in a hammock...great! The flea market area is not the place to go if you do not want to be bugged and followed around by people trying to make a sale.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Loved Grand Cayman! People were nice and helpful. There was an easy feeling and a no pressure attitude when you shop. It rained all day in this port but it was still lots of fun and relaxing.

Cozumel, Mexico

We did not get off the ship this day because we knew everyone else would, so we stayed aboard to get the opportunity to use some of the ships ammenities that had been too crowded all week.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

I personally do not like when people follow you around trying to talk you into buying their wares or taking their tour. Even when you tell them you are not interested and "no thank-you" they follow you and keep talking. We visited one shopping area and then went and got back on the ship to get away from the hagglers. I came on the cruise to relax not to be harrassed.
