First but not Last
Would definitely do it again and it might well become our preferred way to cross the Atlantic - which we do twice a year. GREAT value for money.

Cruise tips
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Stayed at the Ramada Inn as it appeared to be the only hotel offering airport and cruise terminal shuttles. Hotel was older but comfortable. Restaurant OK but the hotel was a little isolated.
Enjoyed walking around the town but it was still chilly.
Liked the town but the weather was windy & cold which was not enjoyable.
MILES from Rome. HAL charged $70 for a shuttle into Rome which seemed to be the going rate. Booked a tour of Rome with Rome Cabs. At 450 Euros it is not inexpensive BUT we only had a day in Rome and it was well worth the money that we spent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
If the weather had been better it would have been more enjoyable. Tours to Grenada etc. filled quickly.

When the ship rocks walk along the cabin level so you can hold on to the handrails. If you have the flexible dining option book your MDR table early.
