Port area had a nice small shopping area. Everything else was too far away for us. Didn't want to deal with a car seat in the taxis...
Although we were one of 4 ships in port Nassau didn't feel crowded. The city was kind of old/dirty/ugly, but I'm sure there were lots of fun things to do had we gone further from port.

Check out the sea day brunch! That was probably our best meal on the ship. Oh and you must have the warm chocolate melting cake for dessert with two ice creams :-)
Overall it was a great trip. The Fantasy is an old ship, but very well maintained and doesn't look old. It is just not as fancy as the new ones. The crew were extremely friendly and the food was good. Nothing spectacular and we have had better food on other cruises, but it was still good and we found plenty of yummy things to enjoy. Neither cruise port is very exciting, but I'm sure there are fun things to be found if you wander further from port. My only real complaint was that most of the entertainmet started too late for young families. Overall a nice relaxing vacation and I definitely reccommend this cruise for anyone who finds themselves near South Carolina and is looking for an affordable relaxing cruise experience.
