the ship was laid out fairly well, our ocean view suite was spacious,the cabin staff were great, though bed cover sheets need to be replaced more often, we ate mainly in rosies' resturant and did not utilize main dinning rooms much, that was due to our activity schedule and not the quality of the dinning rooms. My wife had just been on carnival about a year ago, and said that the food quility has improved a thousand percent. Overall all the ships crew were excellent, especially cabin , dinning room, and casino staff. the white shirt/suporvisory staff had on occassions been cold, and unreponsive to passengers needs. One incident happened in St Thomas, after going through immergation on board, passengers were instructed to report to 0 deck for debarkcation. upon arrivial on 0 deck we were sent to deck 1 to wait, because the ship had not cleared immerg. Next thing we knew there were three to four hundred people squeezed in to one small area and more people being sent to the area on the elevators. this jammed the elevators and stairways. Women with children were being crushed, people were becoming agitated, I advised the staff on deck 0 of the situtation and asked them to check it out and make announcement to stop coming to deck1. I was ignored, it wasn't until I went back down and threaten to go to the captian that they got on the radio. At no time did staff come to deck 1 to check on the situation. this seemed to be the case of most of the ships higher ranking staff. But this should not put you off from sailing on this ship. You'll find the diversity and friendliness of the rest of the crew and passengers far outway any negitives. Most of the tours were also great. If you want a fun cruise, this is the ship, and not just for the young, I,m over 60 with a handicap wife (Wheelchair bound) and had a great time, This was my 8th cruise.
