Sovereign of the Seas

Sovereign of the Seas

Sail date: September 24, 2007

First time on Sovereign of the Seas

I know this is an older ship but was told it had been refurbished, I didn't find that was so. The bed linens were first rate but the smallest bathroon I've ever been in. The food was only average compared to other Royal Caribbean ships but the presentation was good. The shops were fewer than most ships but had quality merchandise. The ship didn't seem as clean (or maybe it was the age) as most. I was not as impressed with this ship as others we have traveled on.

Cruise tips

Nassau, Bahamas

Due to bad weather at this port we didn't get off the ship at this port but we have been there before and it has some good shopping and sightseeing

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

This is an island not to be missed! This beach has the whitest, finest sand ever and beach chairs and hammocks everywhere. There are lots of things to do for everyone or you can just relax on the beach. Plenty of palm trees for shade if you don't want the sun and a breeze to die for. They provided a barbeque for all of us and it was wonderful, everything you could ask for. A small straw market id also on this island with clothes and crafts from the Bahamas.
