Although we were in one of the few VIP suites with balcony, it took HOURS after embarking the ship until we received our luggage. The hallways in general smelled like a sewer; smoking areas on the ship were horrendous. TONS of "hidden" expenses. A $10.00 per person/per day gratuity is added to your bill. Any activity that seemed like fun was at an additional charge. Excursions were very expensive. Any (not just the alcoholic ones) bar drink, including sodas, water etc... were AT A CHARGE! Overall, this was a disappointing experience. We traveled with three kids, ages 5, 6 and 7 and they even complained about being bored. The food was a positive exception. Overall, the quality of the food, at the buffets or in the dining rooms, was very good. One final remark; although we were VIP, with VIP printed on our luggage labels etc. it certainly didn't seem to make ANY difference. As mentioned before, we were among the last ones to recieve our suitcases, then at arrival back in Miami, we were among the last ones allowed to leave the ship. VERY UNTHOUGHTFUL (because we DID pay the extra $$).
