Rhapsody of the Seas overview

Rhapsody of the Seas cruise ship from Royal Caribbean.
Even as an older ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, Rhapsody of the Seas is packed with a lot of activities for all ages.

Rhapsody of the Seas is a midsize Vision-class cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean International. It was built in 1995 and completed its maiden voyage in 1997. Rhapsody doesn't have all the snazzy high-tech features included on newer Royal Caribbean ships. But, guests will enjoy superior service, smaller crowds, and a more intimate cruise experience.

With 1,032 staterooms and suites, Rhapsody of the Seas accommodates up to 2,416 passengers at maximum capacity. In 2012, it received a $54 million renovation. This refurbishment added WiFi throughout the ship, LED TVs, and a giant outdoor projection screen for poolside movie nights. The remodeled Rhapsody also debuted refreshed staterooms, updated dining areas, and a nursery for families traveling with youngsters.

Rhapsody of the Seas itineraries

In 2019 and 2020, cruisers can book itineraries that depart from Tampa, Venice, and Barcelona. Journeys take travelers across three of the seven seas. Destinations include the western Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Adriatic, including ports of call in Belize, Mexico, Croatia, Greece, and the Canary Islands. Transatlantic journeys between Barcelona and Tampa are also offered.

Amazing hospitality by shemp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

The service was truly amazing, 5star+. Not a ton of activities due to it being a smaller ship and although we got the best sweet we could get it was a bit dated and the bed was hard and the pillows were really flat. It’s not what we were expecting in the best room on the ship but the staff made up for it because they were so hospitable

Nice relaxing trip by hipdco

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Although I had to travel alone, because my cousin (Wilfredo P. who invited me and paid the refund) had to leave the ship due to a stomach illness from the previous trip 12-19 in the same ship, I was treated very well by the ship's employees and I did not feel alone. I appreciate the treatment.

Morning coffee with a few people each morning on deck outside Windjammer. Enjoyed self serve ice cream on deck outside Windjammers. My wife and grandson loved eating snack or lite lunch at Park Café in Solarium.

If you need a smoking area, the 3rd deck has lots of chairs and the 9th floor behind the pool has about 10 tables (with enough chairs).
