Review summary

This was the best cruise we've taken. The food was wonderful, the entertainment was great, we tried to experience everything on the ship ( couldn't!) and had a lovely time. Not enough entertainment at night, or in the afternoons for those who did not spend all day in the ports. We enjoyed the experience and have already booked our next one@!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy. Walked right on as we did not have Viking Transfers because we were staying each end a few more days

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Restaurant was a gem, and always available for breakfast and dinner. Specialty dining was great! Buffet always looked fresh, and was delicious. Pool food outstanding and changed slightly daily.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There are not enough engaging activities on board for any age group and when they asked for suggestions, and I gave plenty, I received two p hone calls, and a letter saying those "were not activities the owner desired". So why ask?? My suggestions: bingo, karaoke, daily movie shown in the afternoon, organized card games, happy hour at 5 daily, putting tournament, documentaries on the ports in the cinema, etc.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good singers/dancers/ entertainers. Cabaret style each night

Children's Programs

no none allowed under 18

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards were excellent. All help was far above average, friendly, helpful, kind, interested in my well being

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Spotless at all times. Easy to get around and well documented with signs, on elevators, etc. The Spa is fabulous!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Quire large, spotless, larger than normal bathroom, plenty of storage. This was a Veranda Penthouse Very comfortable. The beds were Great@! More than enough lighting. LOVED the lighted mirror in middle of desk space and place to put make up so that both of us could get dressed at once. MORE than enough storage!!!

Ship tip

Don't go on all the first excursions daily. You will want time to spend on the ship.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
Yes, the included one. This is a fascinating place and we spent two days there prior to boarding.

Santorini, Greece Did not visit port

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

5 out of 5
This was the absolute bEST ruins port! So much to see. We ran on the first ever Olympic track, the ruins are well preserved, very knowledgeable guide. Easy trip.

Corfu, Greece

Great experience. Not enough time to shop

Kotor, Montenegro

Wonderful day on a paid excursion. Beautiful sights.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
We did both included excursion and a paid one. Many things to see and not shopping time enough.

Zadar, Croatia

3 out of 5
Good only because the guide was a little "off". Not much to see here as best I could tell on the included excursion when you have seen more than enough churches.

Koper, Slovenia

4 out of 5
We did a paid excursion to the countryside and it was nice. Not very substantial, but fun to be out of town and see the country.

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
Beautiful city but way too hard to get around in and expensive to get to many places. It was $130 to get from our hotel to the airport to go home, so I don't know what the Viking transfer is, but it would be worth it!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
pushed our suitcases right off at the time we wanted to leave, before 9 am. LONG walk from ship to taxis, water taxis, buses etc.
