Loved. Loved. Loved this cruise. It was our 2nd cruise and we bought another certificate to cruise with Viking again. It was amazing how they took our large group of 10 and treated us like we were the only ones on the ship. It was so personal and loved all the Croatians on the ship.

We arrived early and they let us in our room early.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We were a group of 10. There was also another group of 10 and one group of 12 that was on the ship. There are only 2 tables of 10, so they gave our group the option of eating alone in the Aquavit room. We immediately took that option. We felt like we were on the cruise all alone. It was so enjoyable and the crew was so accommodating.
Onboard Activities

There was only 2 nights that had entertainment. Those 2 nights was so amazing that I thought we should of had entertainment every night. We experienced more entertainment on our Rhine cruise and really missed that on this cruise.

Ship Quality

All over the ship is clean and the staff knows your name. It’s so personal. Unlike any other cruise we’ve ever taken.
Cabin / Stateroom

I love the glass sliding doors. We can open them to get fresh air in and also have an awesome view while lying in our bed watching the world go by.
Ship tip
Pay the extra to be in a French balcony. It’s worth it to have your glass sliding door.
We went to the Bratislava Castle. It looks like a 4 poster bed. After our tour, we had alone time and found a cafe that could accommodate 10 of us, sat and drank Zlaty Bazant beer, which is a golden pheasant beer and ate Bryndzove halusky, which is small potato dumplings, similar to Italian gnocchi, toooed with sheep’s cheese and fried bacon bits. The most amazing food we ate. We all expected it to be filling, but it really wasn’t.
The most bizarre site was seen when we docked. It’s the Novy Most or new bridge. It’s a UFO with a restaurant and viewpoint on top. It only spins when you’ve had too much to drink.
We payed extra to see the Schonbrunn Palace. Worth every dollar. It’s the largest Palace and gardens I’ve ever seen. We stopped in the cafe and had a drink and some apple strudel. The best strudel on this trip.
We sailed on the Danube during the day. The ship should have handouts to explain what we were seeing during the trip. We had a handout on the Rhine cruise. It would have been helpful.
We saw the Gottweig Abbey in Kremlin. It’s a working Abbey and we even saw 2 of the Monks when we were on the tour.
Linz was a cute town. I was glad we went to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. It’s the most picturesque city we visited. We walked the entire old town, shopped and ate our way down. Thank goodness the bus dropped us off on the top.
We had a walking tour of the town. Our guide was the most helpful by telling us where to shop, eat and drink and where not to go. My most favorite stop was in this town. The only dachshund museum in the world. Of course we went. I left my dachshund at home and was really surprised how many dachshunds are in the museum.
Very well taken care of. We ate breakfast and just waited until our bus arrived to take us to Munich. It was a long bus ride and hated to go back home.
