Review summary

Loved this trip would do again but with a balcony to watch the fjords

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We boarded 3 hours earlier than specified without any problems. The embarkation was really smooth as we had someone in our group with a walking stick so we went straight through

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining room food on the Sea Princess was divine. Gorgeous sea food and desert options, However in my opinion the Horizon court needs to get more creative with its options

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
For the most part the ship activites were the trivia and the times for them often conflicted with raffles from the jewellery shop which was frustrating. The movies during the day were good but was frustrated when we wanted to watch Dumbo and the sound never got turned on

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment staff were the best I've seen for a while however you just couldn't get in to the theatre unless you were prepared to go sit for 2 hours before the show just to get a seat

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I travel with my sister who suffers with food allergies and find the waiters on princess to be so considerate and careful with her needs. The attention to detail and catering for all your likes and dislikes even to the point of dishing up an extra portion of prawns when asked makes the trip an experience to be treasured.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean and well maintained however felt a bit dated

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our cupboard space was awesome for 2 people for 2 weeks. We did not pack lightly and everything fitted. The cabin was a bit of a tight squeeze as we were 2 adults sharing a twin room and only had a small bedside table between 2 beds pushed right up against the wall. Our shower cubicle was tiny buy clean and well looked after

Ship tip

Take the coffe card deal. The coffees work out to be around $3 per cup and you get unlimited hot chocolate which is really nice and Im not a hot chocolate drinker. However I do recommend you take your own coffee cup if your like me and like to get your coffee on the run as the new cardboard takeaway coffee cups are horrible to drink out ofto

Ports of call

Brisbane, Australia

4 out of 5
We started here and finished here so not an excursion port. However I do like the fact that the port is only a minuet down the road from the gateway car park and its easy to get to

Cruise Fjordland National Park

5 out of 5
Gorgeous. Would do this trip again, however next time I will pay the extra and get a balcony room so that I can sit in comfort watching the fords go by.

Port Chalmers (Dunedin), New Zealand

Auckland, New Zealand

hate big cities and all the construction noise was too much to endure. However I do recommend the souvenir shop at this port as its the cheapest around plus the unique jewelry

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
When you have your own transport and it doesnt matter what time you leave its very frustrating to sit in a room with heaps of others and walk off in a crowd trying to find luggage etcng to
