Review summary

Best Holiday I have ever had. So relaxing, yet could be as busy as you wanted it to be at the same time. Some Kids were on the cruise, they were all well behaved, no issues at all, A lot of older ppl, but that was what made it so much fun, hearing their stories and getting to know them. Also met so many wonderful ppl our age. Had such an awesome time. Thank You Sea Princess. Only bummer, I left a bag onboard, so now I just have to work out how to get it back.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was amazing, oh my goodness. I didnt know you could order a main as a entree if you wanted to. Fine Dining was a real treat, my fav food was the Beef Wellington, never had it before, but it was delicious. Buffet food was great also. Drinks package was well worth paying for, we did the soda package, which included mocktains sodas unlimited each day. cant fault it at all.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did a few, the ones we did were fun and informative. No pushy sales, but the offer was there. Played Shuffleboard, hiliarious could of played cricket, basketball, volleyball and water volleyball. Kareoke was hiliarious also. Fitness centre I didnt use, but could of used for free. Movies were great, had Jurassic World, Wonder Woman, Baby Driver etc.

Entertainment

Had a great comedian Jo LIttle, she was funny as. also a great magician/comedian Adam Dean and or Dean Adams, cant remember his name. Stage shows were fantastic, Band was great. also had an Elton John impersonator, looked just like him, sang mostly like him also. great times had.

Children's Programs

didnt have kids on the cruise.

Service and Staff

Super friendly and accomodating, had the best Waiter, Anil, made us miss home even more as he reminded me of my Hubby and his cheekiness. Service was fantastic, cant fault anything.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Super Clean, design of the ship was beautiful. was like a 5 star hotel in the piazza area.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an inside Cabin which was comfortable I wanted to steal the pillows, I had the best sleep with those pillows. Was big enough for us as we didnt plan on staying in the cabin apart from sleeping and showering.

Ship tip

If your familiar with the places your visiting, do your own tours , sometimes you didnt get to see what you would of liked to, but thats not the ships fault at all. Make the most of your time on board. you may never get the opportunity again.

Ports of call

Fremantle (Perth), Australia Did not visit port

Live in Perth, so left from here

Bali, Indonesia

super easy, could change money straight away. We did the Elephant Safari Ride, Lunch and Shopping, tour was expensive but was great, really enjoyed it. and it was cheaper as we used the our onboard credits towards it.

Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia

too far away from KL, about 1 1/2 hrs, changed money but wouldnt recommend it as we missed our tour bus and had to get the next one, from our ship. they only had one person on money exchange, plenty of places to exchange money in KL, so no need to worry about doing it straight away Only real downfall was the time spent getting to and from the ship, which isnt their fault, so thats why I gave it 5 stars. did the Petrona towers KL Highlights tour, saw the war memorial, and gardens they were stunning. also stopped at old railway building for pictures.

Penang (Pulau Pinang), Malaysia

You get right off at the port here, great, I didnt do a tour, but did my own thing, went shopping,, they have a hop on hop off bus, (cat) like in Perth Central Area Transit, but the locals only know it as the free bus. Did a lot of shopping here, but I only did the local Georgetown streets, Penang Rd markets.

Langkawi (Pulau Langkawi), Malaysia

My most favourite place ever. very laid back, Markets hawkers dont bother you, they ask but dont follow you up the street hounding you to spend money with them. bartering was good and easy. some wont budge and thats fine, value was great for money. they have a market side for shopping and a Duty Free side for shopping all in the same area. Our tour was the cable car, sky bridge, Rice museum and cultural arts and crafts centre, plus shopping if we wanted to. the ship arranged for a free bus to bring you back if you chose to stay and shop, which wasnt on the tour at all. our tour guide Joe as we called him. stopped and bought some fried banana, a desert they have every night, if you get the change, try it, it was amazing. Loved it. Would go back and stay there for a holiday.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket port was easy, changed money before going on bus very simple, Markets were set up at the port for items to buy but if you had a tour you needed to do the shopping after you came back, Unfortunately our tour ended up being 10 hrs instead of 8.5 hrs. so was a long day and we only had 20 minutes to shop, but they were starting to close up by then. We did the James Bond Island Tour, wouldnt do it again. we didnt get to stop on the island, would of been nice, as there was a market place to shop on there. once again long way to go 2 hour bus ride there 2 hours back and then 2 hours on the water. Had an incident where a man put his foot thru the boat floor, so 1/2 hours was spent sorting him out and getting him back to the ship (the tour guides was amazing helping him) she wouldnt allow us to go on that boat, so they had to get anothr one, which wasted a lot of time and made our trip that much longer. Stopped at a muslim fishing village, only had 1/2 hour to shop (due to incident happening) got a few things but only postcards and a fan. found some of them to be a bit rude, others were fantastic. Had a lovely lunch, food was great, but for someone who doesnt eat seafood at all, there wasnt a great variety for me. however what there was, was delicious. Stopped at a pearl and gem centre, waste of time, very expensive and they give you your very own personal shopper, alright if you into that sort of stuff. the best thing abou it was the pure bread siamese cat with 2 different coloured eyes. Drove past a Nike and Addidas factory outlet and but wasnt part of any tour, was annoyed as I would of liked to have shopped there. (our tour guide didnt want to take us to the Gem place, but because it was on the tour she had to) Couldnt do any shopping at all there, so very disappointed in general with this tour, Gave it 5 because of the way the tour guide handled a very bad situation. Would do my own thing next time.

Singapore

the best port of all, amazing, so easy to find your luggage. ppl super helpful. got a taxi to our hotel, one word of advice, check beforehand that its not a limo taxi, (which is more like a luxury van) as that cost us $55 set rate. got ripped off there, but didnt know, and the lady just pointed ppl to a cab so we just went. Got a cab to the airport from Tiong Bahru market place cost us $23 singapore dollars (pretty much dollar for dollar to Australia) much better, Get a MRT card and you can get the buses and trains anywhere and as many times as you like. their train system is phenominal, its the best in the world, can be confusing, but ppl are happy to help you find your way, and there is plenty of information around for guidance. took us 1 day to get used to it. Chinatown was great. Little India a big disappointment to us. Went to Mustafas to shop, waste of time, would of rather gone back to chinatown or found somewhere else. Spent the day at botannical gardens which is free, beautiful place, $5 entry into Orchid garden, well worth the money spent. spent 4 hours there. could of done more. Went to Gardens by the Bay, get there before its dark so you get to see the beauty of it all in both daylight and night time, they have a light show about 7.45 and 8.45pm. amazing. Sky bridge is about $8 to go on, well worth the wait in the line, you only get about 15 minutes up there but amazing. You can choose to walk down the steps or take the lift. didnt have enough time to see everything. Stayed in a little hotel called Nostaligia Hotel in Tiong Bahru Marketplace, got an amercian breakfast each morning for free. was nice, if your only sleeping there, its comfortable and staff are friendly, Concierge was very helpful, Front desk staff found english a bit hard, but we got there, it rained one morning so they offered us umbrellas for the day. Had a massage salon next to it so got a massage for $50 for an hour if you like chinese massage place to to go, hurt like hell, but felt really good afterwards. their english wasnt great. food market is around the corner, great food, great prices. had a sugar cane drink, yummo. also peanut pancake, also yummo. ate at a restuarant on the corner, food was lovely, got small serves, which feed two of us with 3 items. Airport is super easy to navigate. but give yourself plenty of time if you want to shop in style as your gate could be a good 12 minute walk away. Just made our flight.

Super easy, just one fault, would of loved to have stayed on the ship until 1pm, too early to get off.
