Lotus Spa on Royal Princess

We really enjoy the spa on board the Royal, my wife and I really really enjoy the Royal class Enclave thermal suite! If we are on a Royal class ship getting a pass is a no brainer for us. With 3000 people on the ship having a secluded space that has an admittance limit means we are able to go in and have the thermal pool to ourselves, combined with the variety of steam rooms and sauna this is how we often choose to end our nights with a float. I also choose to have a hot stone massage to celebrate my birthday on this cruise. The masseuse was amazing and found just the right amount of pressure to work out some nasty knots in my back with out pain. This was my first hot stone massage and I enjoyed it will definitely not be the last time I try the massage services at the lotus spa.

My husband loved the hot shave and gave massage Slightly over priced.

Bad experiance with Spa Seminar: "Posture and Pain" 3:30 PM Friday and 4:00 PM Scheduled Activity 3:30 PM seminar: Person Never showed up and Never called my cabin phone# and left a message to set up 1:1 session that Lotus Spa Staff told me so. Staff do not know that 4:00PM scheduled Spa show Case & Raffle, she denied nothing scheduled like that at 4pm. If someone calls me on the phone I can explain better. I filed the complaint to the front desk, and they don't take it seriously and let me talk to the manager of the Lotus Spa( Margarita?), she offered me to use the pool. I did not feel like to go to the Lotus Spa Area, I did not go.

I will say I didn’t use the spa but the spa manager did a facial pamper party and she was amazing!

Expensive, but good experience

We purchased Enclave packages at the spa, so every day we used the Enclave (steam room, spa/jacuzzi, heated chairs) and then had use of the large shower rooms in the spa. We also found a "relaxation" room that we frequently used for reading, having a cup of tea or water, after our time in the Enclave.

Beautiful peaceful and those heated loungers helped my back!!

Spouse made the rookie mistake of buying the $129 teeth whitening service. It really was a bait & switch to sell a very expensive take-home system

The only reason I don't give "Excellent" is the ladies room in the spa seemed like an afterthought. It would be nice if there were more places to sit, and amenities for showering and dressing after a treatment. My husband and I both had two treatments and they were wonderful, except for the usual "sales pitch" at the end trying to sell us products, but that's on any ship, any cruise line.

The Royal Princess is one of only three ships that have The Enclave at the spa. My husband and I did a tour of the spa of the first day and purchased a special package offered for the Enclave for $100pp. We were if it was worth it at first but boy oh boy were we extremely happy with our purchase! The Enclave is FANTASTIC!!! Not enough space here to explain what it involves so I encourage you look it up yourself. The Enclave became our go to place to relax and unwind on a daily basis! Oh how I wish the Enclave was on every Princess ship!
