Regatta

10 Night Northwest Wonders (San Francisco To Vancouver)

Sail date: May 19, 2019

Ship: Regatta

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

May is to early to see bears and salmon unless you go to raptor or bear center where they take care of injured animals. Weather was great, only rained in Sitka. We had such a great time we signed up for another cruise. We’ve been on larger ships but this size was great for us.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All the restaurants were great. The buffet had wide variety of main courses.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
They had a scavenger hunt which kept us busy for couple of days. Gym is nice. They had bean bag toss which had several participants, mini golf activities. There’s enough to keep everyone entertained.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great, the Violin group was amazing!

Children's Programs

I saw one child on board the rest of the group was over 40 it seemed.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was wonderful. The ship is small so staff remembers everyone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Areas were always clean and constantly maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Enjoyed our cabin very much. It was easy to move around and had plenty of space. Beds were so comfortable. We had a balcony which we really enjoyed.

Ship tip

Very relaxing, older crowd. If your looking for late night parting it’s a very small group.

Ok. There was plenty of time to walk around Embarcadero area and city.

Astoria, Oregon

Arrived Astoria at 8a.m. So there was not a lot to do because not a lot of places open.

70 degree day. Very lively, large port. Lots of shopping and restaurants available at the port as you disembark. Duck tour was entertaining. Saw several bald eagles by the pier as duck vehicle exited the ocean.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5
No port. Foggy en route to Vancouver. Captain had to blow horn several times.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Very large city and lots to see and do. We didn’t do excursions. Lots of city ambassadors around to answer questions and give directions. The train to airport is couple blocks away so you can walk to train. Buy tickets at station. There’s a senior ticket price.

Disembarkation
