We did as much pre-planning as possible with our tours.Some of these countries have short history of independence like Estonia and therefore do not have a lot to offer. So if you are happy just checking out the sites you should be OK. But if you are the adventurous type you might be hard pressed.

I booked a cabin midship with a "partial obstruction" view, better priced but it was a great location and the view was totally fine. Liked the E deck.

Buffet areas become very busy early in the morning before excursions and right before port departures, so if you want to eat them, allow extra time and be prompt. Getting through the lines and finding a place to eat can be very challenging.

I dont agree with a charge for the speciality dining. Makes me think that the restaurant are not as good as the speciality ones. I traveled with princess time ago and I feel a lot of changes, some good and some bad. The quality of the food is not the same, it seems that now is focus on bussiness.

The deserts on the fifth floor in the cafe are better than the ones in the dining rooms. If your group does not have someone with a disability, do not book a tour. Travel by yourself with hop on hop off buses. It is much cheaper, and most cities have it, check with an expert on board.

My wife and I aren't big on crowds, so when I discovered the room service menu, we were delighted. We knew we could have a continental breakfast any day on our balcony, but a full meal was wonderful... sadly, I didn't learn about this until the last day. Maybe better service by our steward would he

There is good music in the wheelhouse bar and the vista lounge. Just check the schedule.

Great cruise for couples. Only seen 3 kids on bord the whole ship. Mostly 50 plus crowd. Would not reccommend for families with children. Not much for kids to do on the ship.

Be advised to keep track of what is going on in other eatery venues, since some of them have specials that you will only know about by reading the daily "Princess Patter". Order a bottle of wine and take it with you after, this practice is okay with them, having them hold it often is a mistake.

Book your room in the back (aft) of the ship and you will avoid the waits for the elevators that you will experience if your cabin is located mid-ship.

if you want to eat is specialty dinning call ahead of time. we ended up having to wait for last minute cancellations to eat there.
