Review summary

This is a good way to see a little bit of each island

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We picked late in the day so that we could do a few things on Oahu first. This ended up being a wise, uncrowded time for us.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We typically avoid the Main dining rooms because the service is typically slow and the food mediocre. We did try it one night because of one member of our party requested that we try it. Nope, still slow and just ok. Specialty restaurants were delicious with good timely service. Buffets were good, but very crowded unless you get there early for the meal.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were fun and clean. So many people reserve the chairs for all day with little use that it's hard to get a chair anywhere near the pool. We did a lei making class to make a beautiful ribbon lei. We also did a hula class Spa services were surprisingly good!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was good. The comedian, Jeff Harms, was hilarious! We went to 3 of his shows! The illusionist was great! We listened to various musicians around the ship who were very talented.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room stewards cleaned the room once in the morning, but did not check the room in the evening as most cruises do. However, when we had a request he was quick to help. We received excellent service and attention from all staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For some reason, it took us a while to figure out where everything was, often going to the wrong end of the ship. There were no directional indicators as whether we were headed to the front or the back. We missed the swimming fish that Norwegian used to have in the carpet!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very tight and tough to get around. When the beds are separated, the 2 shelves do not fit between the wall and sofa. That means one person has no where to put their bedtime things. Also, with so many people using CPAPs now, WHY are there no plugs by the head of the bed for the needed electric??!! Very clean

Ship tip

Bring an extension cord!

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
We did several tours through private parties as they included more features than the ships options did.

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
Did two excursions through cruises.com We did a Road to Hana tour with a return on a helicopter (great!!) and a Valley tour

Hilo, Hawaii

5 out of 5
We toured the Volcanoes National Park with a private party tour as they included more features than the ships options did. It was great and included the lava tube which many other ship passengers missed!

Nawiliwili, Kauai

3 out of 5
Our ship missed the first day due to repairs so we missed the Waimea Canyon and a Luau. We did the Fern Grotto through the ship, but was very disappointed. Would not do that again.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Well organized and our luggage was right where we expected. A star was lost because they took a long time to fill the first two busses going to the airport.
