Review summary

This ship is the ship to take if you just want to RELAX, take it easy, watch a show, read a book. If you want the 24hour party life then no this ship is not for you. The staff are all ways friendly and willing to help, the food has a great range either in the waterfront or food court. The food is served to you as this ship cares about hygiene. I would recommend to anyone who just wants to sit back and relax. The should have a variety, dance, sing, comedy, magic,

Just did a 11night Vanuatu cruise with Pacific Jewel. Found the Pantry where you eat , very boring with not enough selection. also repeats on meals. Like a food court in shopping centres. Buffets help yourself much better & quicker , no queues. Plus you needed to go to the Pantry at least 1/2 hour before opening ,to get a table.Waterfront very average on their meals as well. , just waited on. Entertainment Shows much the same. too much comedy. Some of the Bands on board were ok. Some staff were friendly . Found hardly any rubbish bins around the ship. lots of rubbish left around. Also the lifts too slow , long waits. Boat very small. My Opinion P & 0. nowhere near most of the other cruise lines. Very Average. peoples choice but not for me.

Thank you so much.... I've been so nervous reading the reviews!!! I have just been through a traumatic cancer scare of late and just want to enjoy my birthday on the ship with my husband. It's our first cruise so this positive input means a lot thanks again for your advice ð

hi Shellwebb we have been on the the Jewel and she is lovely. We bought a thermal suite pass (in the day spa) for the whole cruise, its great and good value. Have a look when you get onboard, you might really enjoy it. Have a great cruise.

This is the best review I've seen about the Jewel.. We are going on the pacific jewel next week and I have been so concerned about all the horrible reviews.. this gives me some hope we may have a good time. This is our first cruise and my birthday, so I was hoping it wouldn't be a bad experience.. thank you for giving me a bit of faith
