Overall, I truly enjoyed my first cruise ever. I can now say that I am apart of the Norwegian family and I will be back.

The embarkation experience was good. Although, there were a lot of people checking in the process when smoothly.

Food and Dining

I ate mostly in the main dining rooms and at the buffets. I must say that the food was excellent all around. There are so many choices to choose from. You will never be hungry.

Palace Main Dining Room

The décor was nice. Maybe a little too dark. The staff was nice but could have been more attentive. Sometimes you have to search for your waiter or waitress. Although the food was tasty, it was not also hot.

Crossings Main Dining Room

I enjoyed this Dining Room the most. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I had the most fun sharing tables with other passengers and the staff was great.

Onboard Activities

One thing I just say is that the Norwegian Sky Cruise Director Jasper and Staff made sure that you were active. In addition to the pools, hot tubs, fitness center or just walk or run on the promenade; there were so many other activities to choose from to fill you day. I really liked the Karaoke.

Sky Club Casino

The Sky Club Casino is an area were passengers are allow to smoke. I don't think that is fair to the other passengers like myself that do not smoke and have to inhale that. I guess you can really say in this matter "money talks." They should have an area of the casino for non-smokers and for people that may have breathing issues. Just a suggestion.

I attended the Showdown, Rock to you and Comedy shows. They were really good.

Stardust Lounge

I really liked the Stardust Lounge. It provided comfortable seating and a very pleasant atmosphere to watch a movie, musical and/or comedy show. Which were very entertaining.

Service and Staff

All the staff was great. They really made my cruise experience. They were so kind, attentive and willing to help. The room steward (even though I did not personally meet then) made sure the room was clean and turn down my bed every night.

Ship Quality

The show was basically spotless. The cleaning crew was always making sure the all areas of the ship was clean; even down to paint touch ups. The ship always had a pleasant smell except the Casino and Gift shop which were on the same floor. They allow passengers to smoke in this area. It was very hard to breathe at times. I wish they had an area of the casino the was smoke free.

Cabin / Stateroom

I had an inside cabin. I was tavelling solo. So, the space was fine form me. The bed was comfortable and I adore the pillows. The ship was refurbished in 2019.

Ship tip

I would advise someone to keep an open mind, be flexible things can change especailly due to weather. Be willing to share a table at meal times if you like meeting new people.
