Over all, we enjoyed our cruise. Beautiful ship. Nice staff. Food was good. Strongly disliked the Lido Market buffet arrangement. Loved the Music Walk. World Stage entertainment was disappointing.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
This rating is because in our opinion, the Lido Buffet was a mess.....(see review below) The dining room food was well presented and flavorful. We enjoyed the dinners that we had there.

New York Deli & Pizza

5 out of 5

Very good pizza. Good breakfast sandwich. Good hours. One odd thing though- They offer a good selection of movie snacks on the nights that they show a movie on the big screen above the pool. However, they don't start serving them until 9. And many times the movie starts at 8.... If you're going to offer a specific perk for a specific venue, the timing should match.

Dive In at the Terrace Grill

The food here was really good. We ate here multiple times. Burgers had a lot of flavor. The fries were crispy and hot. The hot dogs were yummy too. Got a shake once ($4.50). It was the consistency of chocolate milk. It's made at the gelato stand across the way. IMO, definitely just get the gelato instead if you're going to spend the money. It's cheaper and better.

Lido Market

Fail. HAL, what are you thinking? The layout, management, open availability and presentation were not good at all. The taste of the food was good, if you could get to it. The buffet had 2 sides. Most food is plated for you. You stand in line and tell the server what you want. During its limited open hours, most of the time only 1 side was serving. This created congestion in the narrow walkways. People seemed to find it confusing. Hard to find what you wanted. I seemed that they were low on staff members. It took forever to go through the line because only 1 person would be trying to serve from 8 different choices. Also, people would just walk up and cut into the line and ask for what they wanted. Some people are just rude, but I think some people were just confused and didn't realize there was a line. The limited open times was also a problem. Too much planning to try to match their schedule... Not impressed and a deal breaker.

Explorations Central

Nice big room with a panoramic view. Had an iced cafe mocha here ($3.50). It was very good.

Grand Dutch Cafe

Very pretty venue. Saw people gathered here playing cards, doing crosswords, playing on their phones and just sitting chatting. We didn't get coffee or meals here but had the c.c. cookies and the bosche boll (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly) They were both very good.

Gelato

Very good and worth the $2-$2.75. They make their own waffle cones which are excellent. My husband doesn't drink so this was his splurge... more than a few times :)

Onboard Activities

Billboard Onboard

5 out of 5

Excellent entertainment! Our favorite was Billboard Onboard. If Colin and Rachel are your entertainers- GO! They are terrific! Standing room only everytime they were performing. So much fun! We really enjoyed Lincoln Center Stage also. Quintet of young performers with a great repertoire. Heard the Rolling Stones venue in passing... not bad, but not fantastic. Stopped by B.B. King's for part of a performance. They were very good. But our timing was always off in order to see them. Wish these groups would play throughout the day instead of trying to plan everything in the evening. To much happening at the same time... Did I mention not to miss the pianists Colin and Rachel in Billboard Onboard?? :)

Service and Staff

Our room stewards Asep and Wahid were so kind and kept our room immaculate. The service at other locations was fine but nothing stood out as exceptional.

Clean, comfortable. Large balcony. Great idea to have USB ports and outlets on both sides of bed. Plenty of storage.

Ports of call

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Pretty island. The sand is amazing! It seems to good too be real! We did a little snorkeling. Not a lot to see, but worth bringing our gear. Nice few hours on the beach.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Our snorkeling excursion was canceled due to high waves. Not much of interest for us here since we had heard that there aren't really any nice beaches close by.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Walked to Ft Morro and flew kites. My husband is an avid kite flyer and brought a couple of his kites specifically for this port. Enjoyed seeing old San Juan and eating some of the native snacks from a food truck recommended to us by some friends.
