Review summary

This was my first MSC Cruise. The price was hard to pass up for 10 days , balcony room, with limited drink package. Ship was gorgeous . Needed more dining room and bar help. Food was better on buffet than dining room. Dining room was way too packed and loud...low ceilings . Entertainment in bars was ok. Not much variety in theater, but talented people

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in the dining room was hit or miss. We sent a few things back to the kitchen. Tasted bad. Soup, duck. We started to stick with safe traditional foods like salmon, steck saled, etc. No issues with drinks except understaffed at bars.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage singers and dancers were very talented, but every performance had same people doing different musical themes. Would have liked a little change like magic show and comedy. Acrobats were wonderful. Jazz singer not that great. Band in Black and White bar was good. Alma Duo was good also

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was over the top great. She was always around. Always cleaning . 2-3 times a day our room was freshed up. Always plenty of clean towels an face cloths. Refilled our ice bucket daily. The dining room staff was nice, but had no time to be overly friendly. They seemed to be way understaffed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful. Very modern chic design, but seating was not always comfortable. The ship was spotless. One of the cleanest I've been on.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was a bit small. Nothing but the bed to sit on. But balcony was nice. For the price, it was good

Ship tip

Alma Duo best singing on the ship.

Disembarkation

All went well until they ran my card to get off the ship and told me i had a .98 balance. We had a credit card on file so we said to put it to that. They said no, have to go to service desk. We were very angry. We waited in line 45 min to disembark. Had to wait in line again downstairs to have them fix it. Apparently on the first day a computer was set on cash sale which did not link to credit cards on file. Lots of mad people!
