Intriguing New Ports by Limoncello

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

Shortest cruise we've taken but one of the better ones, mostly because of the two new-to-us Greek ports. Staff overall was great, food superb. We always pick our fave specialty restaurant of the cruise - this time it was Jacques for the first time! Great job, people!

The cruise was awesome. I was impressed with Oceania’s service and attention to detail. It felt very luxurious and you felt pampered.

Very happy...again! by wvboy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

This was our first transatlantic crossing. Since we missed Bermuda due to weather, we ended up with 6 straight sea days - a bit much. But the 2nd half of the trip was fantastic with fantastic ports. We stayed in Barcelona a few extra days and then took a train to Paris for a few more. So a wonderful trip overall. We were lucky to have good weather throughout.

Restful Cruise by ibdamommy

Weather was colder and very windy than was expected. Crossing was the roughest ever. European ports were more crowded than expected but overall, very nice cruise. Staff was excellent.

Excellent food. A bit long by garymcarpenter

Glad to go on a Transatlantic cruise but would not do it again. Ship was good with excellent staff. Food was outstanding but sometimes difficult to get reservations in specialty restaurants. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Over all the ship is fine stateroom bathrooms way to small. Main dinning room we went just one time food was not appealing. That was our 61st cruise.

Lies Lies Lies by macruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

Our first and last with Oceania. They are a fallen brand. No longer a luxury cruise line. As with other reviewers here, we will never EVER cruise Oceania again. They at best mislead us about what they deliver and at worst, flat out lied. They are disorganized beyond belief. Food is awful nursing home quality. No greasy spoon at home would survive with such awful food. Ship is literally rusting. It should be scrapped. A passenger who has sailed on Marina before had mentioned that the paintings on the ship are worth more than the ship itself. I can see why.

Bucket list fulfilled - trans canal, ancient sites, different cultures by mcconnah

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

This was a bucket list trip and our first cruise on Oceania. It exceeded our expectations in almost every way. Beautiful and comfortable ship with excellent service and facilities, and an interesting itinerary with a wide variety of shore excursions. In most places, I would not recommend independent travel even if you are fluent in Spanish. The shore excursions are generally well run, although there are not a lot of choices for those with limited mobility and wheelchair/scooter users.

Quiet Crossing by harstonja

Cruise line needs to desperately upgrade internet and cable availability. NO change since 2016. Almost no service on sea days.

Very disappointing cruise for long time Oceania customer by mirmanc

Very disappointing thus cancelled an April, 2024 transatlantic cruise Miami to Barcelona on Oceania Marina. Will likely not patronize Oceania in the future after 6 cruises.

Abandoned in Iceland by ttowers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Marina

My sister and I took the Oceania cruise from Iceland to London in late august 2023. On the last day in Iceland, my sister and I went on an Oceania sponsored expedition to ride Icelandic ponies. My sister fell while getting on her pony and was severely injured with a brain bleed and a shattered elbow which required imminent surgery. I was put in the position to fly her home with absolutely no assistance from the cruise ship or port agent. The tour operators helped me as much as they could including staying with us at the Icelandic hospital while x-rays were taken and to help get us transportation to a hotel near the regional airport. Since this was our last stop in Iceland, we had to get our belongings and passports off the ship which happened but they charged me $100 in cash to get our things. I then had to get my sister who was on pain pills and in a wheel chair from the reginal airport to the international airport in Reykjavik with two 50 pound bags and four carry-ons with no assistance from anyone. I took her to Oregon where she lives for immediate surgery. When I landed in Portland with her, I started trying to call Oceania to help get me home to Charlotte and talk to someone about what happened. After many, many calls and very long wait times, I finally got a flight home but they told me any further communication would have to be done by email to Guest relations. The first and only person who reached out to me was the travel insurance people to open a claim which four months later has still not been paid. After at least 20 written communications with guest relations, which they insisted on, they took no responsibility and claimed I was contacted by several people while still in Iceland which I disproved through phone records and still no action was taken. They said "sorry for the "inconvenience" and please sail with us again". I was an d still am outraged and my sister will have a permanent disability and they don't care, Their guest relations is a joke. I even sent the information and my proof of no help or communication to their CEO in Miami and still no response. Don't believe Oceania will take care of you became they won't. Take caution if you ever decide to sail with them.

Not Worth the Cost by ddmilsten

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

Ship experience did not meet our expectations for a luxury cruise. Oceania service, food, and facilities were disappointing as compared to our previous experiences with premium cruise lines such as Celebrity and Holland America. For the increased cost we expected a step up, but that was not what we found on Oceania. We did enjoy the itinerary and ports of call even though it was tiring to be exploring at a different port every day. We learned that we can do better by touring on our own or with tour providers other than the ship excursions.

Loved this itinerary by jeth

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

This was our first Oceania cruise after using Celebrity for many years. Pros of Oceania are less people, better food (although Celebrity's food is very good), and easier and quicker to get on and off the ship. Cons for Oceania are the evening entertainment was not very good, in our opinion, except for the comedian and one lively Mexican singer. That being said, we have two more Oceania cruised booked on their newer ship, Vista.

Luxury in the North by sfeinschreiber

Overall, a very good cruise. We already have other cruises booked with Oceania. The main areas needing improvement are the excursions. They are generally "good" but not "great".

Fun on the Mediterranean by Cruiser83375011

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina

The cruise was great. The meat at the Pollo Grill could use some aging or better cuts. It was too tough. A little more variety at the regular eating places. If you are there for more than a week, you get the same menus. Entertainment was fabulous. The Italian tenor was spectacular and Samantha Ivey was so good. Enjoyed the dancers/ singers. Great talent. Comedian was very good.
