Review summary

This was an awesome trip. The ship staff was very attentive to the needs of the passengers. It also offered a wide variety of activities for the sea days. Dining was good in both the main dining room as well as the ship's cafeteria-style dining. Great ice cream bar daily that offered a vast assortment of unique sorbet and ice cream. Also on the 5th deck, the gourmet cakes daily were terrific!  Excursions available on the ship were somewhat high compared to the local vendor prices if purchased off the ship. After-dinner entertainment was good on most nights. A couple of nights had adequate or "too loud" shows.  The Panama Canal experience was awesome. The ship had a few need-attention spots which showed the age of the ship, but overall, this was a great trip.

Puntarenas is a poor stop. Nothing to see unless you go into the country on an excursion.

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

Take a trip to Antiqua! Awesome old city. Nothing to see in Puerto Quetzal except cute shopping area just outside the ship

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

very American. Rock formations are stunning. Get off the ship early and just walk around prior to taking an "excursion". I did not take an excursion because I live in the tropics. Good for sailing, snorkeling if you like that kind of thing.

San Diego, California

Great city. Cruise port is very close to airport. Allow time to go through customs. Our customs official was very efficient and moved the 2000 passengers through fast!
