A: If the 2 yr old is under 35lbs and is still accustomed to sleeping in a crib request a porta-crib. Otherwise, Check the deck plans for which type of 3rd person bedding is in the room with the toddler. If it's a Pullman bunk (about 5 ft off the floor... ) you might want to see if you can switch to a cabin with a sofa daybed.See More

A: Sometimes. Depends on ports of call, as you might be able to board the ship unvaccinated but can't visit certain islands and have to stay on board. Ports change requirements as local variants and hospitalizations fluctuate.

A: No. Only a couple of ports still require it

A: No daily event sheet in room any more - just use the app or pick up paper copy at Guest Services. We were on Vista 3 weeks ago but I don’t remember when those events happened. 80s party was moved inside due to rain, but lots of people really went al... l out with the theme and dressed up. A: Back in October, we did an airboat excursion that was pretty good. First time doing "something" there besides just walking around the dock.
Answered by ronmuller65 on December 8, 2022
A: We did the ruins that were closest, because we didn't want a long bus ride, and we really enjoyed it. Even my teenager enjoyed himself and the lunch they served, while small, was some of the best food we have ever had.

A: The imax movies are not publicized. It’s usually one movie that’s in theaters now and then a couple retro. I believe the Thrill theater is the one being taken out of ships, not the imax.
Answered by Imjustagirl on December 15, 2022
A: we went to the IMAX theater on the Vista in Sept. The 3D was not working and less than 10% of seats were filled. The price to see a movie about the US National Parks cost more than the new releases at our local theater that has recliner seats. Since... they already show free movies each night on the Lido deck, the IMAX theater is a waste of room.See More

A: I have never been a fan of watching games in bars either. I am not posit ive but I believe the only place games can be watched is the Sports Bar.I have seen games on the big screen at the pool but that has only been for "Big Games" when the Sports... Bar can not handle everyone.See More

A: This happens to me sometimes. I usually just clear my cookies or use another browser. Sometimes just waiting a day or two and it magically appears with lots of open rooms.
Answered by Imjustagirl on September 28, 2022
A: They're probably sold out. I'm on the 2/11 and it has not been cancelled. The ship had to switch up itineraries from September through February due to mechanical issues but there are no plans to cancel any of them. The issue only affect the ship's... max speed.See More

Answer Question
Q: Has anyone been on the Vista since it was flooded on inside decks? Does it smell musty? Thinking about going on this ship but don't want it to smell, especially with my allergies. Thx

A: We are on the Vista now - ending a B2B on Saturday. There are no odors nor is there any other evidence of flood damage from the burst pipe 3 weeks ago. The only problem the Vista has now is that the CD, Savannah, hurt her ankle 2 weeks ago and is una... ble to walk. Consequently, we have had a substitute CD this week, Mikaela. Go ahead and book this ship and enjoy your cruise!See More

Q: I keep hearing conflicting reviews of the Vistas propulsion issues. One will say “We made every port on time, so obviously the problem is solved.”, while another post will say, “They limited our port visit to 6 hrs., we were the last to get there and the first to leave.”. Which is it?!? Can anyone offer more than their opinion?

A: It sounds like the issue might be which itinerary you are booked for. On the Roatan, Belize, Cozumel itinerary all the ports are relatively close together so it doesn’t appear that they’ve modified the port times at all on the Jamaica, Grand Cayman,... Cozumel itinerary it seems like they shortened port stays after the propulsion issue, likely because they are having to cover greater distances between ports.See More
Answered by derikf on July 30, 2022
A: I've seen many comments and speculations; but few facts. The facts I know are: 1) In May, they admitted it had "technical issues affecting the ship’s cruising speed". 2) In late May, they said they brought in specialists to fix the problem. 3) t... hey said it would not be going to dry dock and 4) Since May, they have been shaving off one hour at Jamaica and Cayman and two hours from the stay at CozumelSee More
Answered by jallaway on July 31, 2022
A: I asked a few crew members why the port times were shorter in Cozumel and Grand cayman and they said because the captain said so. I defiantly thinks it’s due to the ship not being able to go as fast there for needing extra time to get to port. We wer... e heading back to Galveston and the Dream caught and passed us. It’s not a major issue but it still sucks that you get a few less hours on certain itinerary’s.See More
Answered by NicolasH on July 31, 2022
A: Thanks for the insight. I figured they were just getting by to save money and planned to really fix it in a future dry dock. 🤷♂️ We hate to plan an excursion, only to get blindsided by a shortened port visit.

A: I would take the carnival transfer set back and relax
Answered by dannytee on July 4, 2022
A: Getting there is easy with carnival (cheapest) or even Uber. Careful with your return flight if it’s an earlier Saturday flight! We missed ours along with hundreds of others because of an issue with the gangway!

Q: What do folks think of the excursion in Belize to Rendezvous Cate? What if you don’t snorkel? How’s the boat ride? Any shade on the boat ride there and back? Any info about the excursion is welcome.

A: I really did not like Belize because the tender ride is too long and there is nothing to see inside the port.

A: this is my 4th solo. yes I do excursions. sometimes I meet cool people to do them with.
Answered by walkingdeadcrz on February 21, 2022
A: I’ve never cruised solo, but I’ve done excursions on my own before, when other people in my party wanted to do something different. I’ve met really nice people that way, and never regretted doing them alone.
