Review summary

I have been on several cruise lines. My daughter and I took a Carnival cruise in August and had a wonderful time. Because of the great time we had, we decided to stick with Carnival for this trip. Unfortunately it was a major disappointment. The cruise director for Splendor isn't familiar with her job title because there wasn't much in the way of entertainment. On all the other cruises I have taken there has been around the clock music or activities of some sort, but this ship didn't have much. Even the club didn't open until 11 and it closed at 2.They had 2 comedy shows that repeated. Even the staff didn't seem as friendly or as helpful as the other cruises I have taken. I loved the ports of call. Jamaica was annoying because the vendors start carving your name into wood carvings and I didn't want to take anything free. But once you open your wallet they make you feel bad and want more money.

I mean with a roommate it's about 1500 max including everything

On the smooth cruise there is way to much to do to sleep. You PARTY all day all night You will be exhausted when you get off. There are concerts on the deck every day and concerts every night plus late night shows . Then you have to get up for the ports and run back to get ready for the night. You only go in the room to change and shower

Oooo those are good ports. I've done barbados a few times an grenada once. I've never been to martinique, panama or costa rica.

They say inside cabins are like closets. You sleep late because you cant see sunshine thru the windows. I always gets oceanviews.

Wow, i guess thats not bad but I've been on a cruise for $800 for two for the week hahahha. Thats rare cause the price kept dropping so thats expensive to me. The most I've paid was $1200. I can do 3 cruises for that price lol.

The DAY the 2017 went on sale I booked. It's on te Norwegian breakaway. They usually do Carnival and we have had fab ports. Last year Grenada Martinique Tobago abs Barbados. The year before Costa rica, Panama girl two more I can't even remember lol

On te low end, you are NEVER in the room so inside is fine

Not really, you can't pay for the entertainment. There are normally 40 entertainers minimum . Plus comedy. (Michael Colyar every year)Plus fitness instructors (Darrin Henson last year)plus dancers (dance Theatre of Harlem)I could go on and on

Well if you are interested it is something not to be missed. But you must HURRY. The 2016 cruise that leaves in October was sold out by August 2015

Oh also Sophie on the paradise is absolutely amazing. She def went out of her way for us. So much spunk and just amazing all around

Obviously we had two different experiences on the ship. I saw Chloe at least 5 times a day and she made my experience very enjoyable on the cruise.

I've done 18 carnival cruises. I remember everson on the magic and hennie on the dream, and a fine light skin guy who always wears shirts that says " free hugs ". I can't remember his name either. Lol.

I sailed on April 24th. I felt the same way when it came to the cruise director. We barely saw her.
