Review summary

We are very happy to have the Spirit in Mobile. She is a beautiful ship, well laid out, and our cruise was a blast. The food was very good, the staff was excellent, the comedians were great and music was very, very good. The Cruise Director, Erin, was one of the best we've ever had. She was wild, hilarious, and everywhere. The Love and Marriage and Deal or No Deal shows were fun. The last night, I still had a couple of hundred dollars OBC left so I put it in a slot machine, cashed out, then got my cash so I wouldn't wait forever to get it later...

Embarkation

A biased opinion. We were escorted and were the very first passengers on the ship.

All were excellent. We especially enjoy the string trios...

Children's Programs

We took our 2 grandchildren to the Cat in the Hat breakfast, as well as to Build-A-Bear. They had a great time, and was worth the money for both.

Service and Staff

Excellent staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For a ship of her age, we thought she was beautiful, well designed, and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the cabin. It was the first time we've ever been in a cabin with more than just my wife and I (2 grandchildren). We enjoyed the layout of the additional beds. This was one of the best locations that we've ever had... when we cruise her again, we'll go for that location again.

Ship tip

If you need a quiet area, there are hallways to the left of the theater (called the "Cove") and to the right (called the "Jungle"). Very unique, very quiet, we rarely saw other guests there). I used that area to do some paperwork in peace...

Ports of call

Mobile, Alabama

5 out of 5
We moved to Mobile last November and love it... for visitors, I recommend one attraction, very close to the port: the USS Alabama museum. Great food in the area, many local restaurants...

Cozumel, Mexico

We spent our port time at Nachi Cocum. Enjoyed it very much (2nd time there).

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
It is a very well maintained, clean port with good shopping, within walking distance, and friendly merchants.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It went well for us, It was what it alway is: Thousands of guests trying to exit within a short time. TSA processing was slick. We always get a porter- they bypass the long line getting out of the building.
