Review summary

While the pride is an older boat the interior was very clean and had new carpet everywhere. Good selection of food options just missing the Italian, Mongolian wok, and guys anchor. Great staff and I felt very safe with carnivals covid requirements. Since we were on an extended cruise (14 days) we pretty much had masks on all the time unless outside or eating and drinking. I'd recommend staying mid level on the ship- we were on deck 6 as you spend all your time on deck 10 or deck 2 and 3.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had great service everywhere especially in the main dining rooms. The food was up to par with other carnival ships we've been on.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
This is an older ship so they don't have room for all the upgrades (sports deck, ropes course, etc.) But there was still plenty to do, we played mini golf, ping pong, basketball.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Typical carnival ship with lots of trivia, punchliners comedy club and Playlist productions. I did not find the comedians on board to be that funny.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful service everywhere from our room steward to the dining room.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is an older ship but I found it much easier to get around than the bigger ones. It was only 10 levels so easy to navigate. Food all on deck 10 lido along with pools and the serenity deck. Shops, main dining rooms, theater and clubs all down on level 2 and 3.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great cabin. I think the pride has more drawer space than other ships. The 3 typical closets but the desk has drawers on each side so 6 drawers total which really helped.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Small port right in the city so easy to get to. You sail out through the Chesapeake bay but unfortunately it was dark when we left so we couldn't see. We went under a few big bridges which was neat.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Pools and shops built into the Port now (pools free) so you don't need to leave.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Aruba has become one of our favorite ports especially since cruises don't normally leave until late. You can walk to the beach and stop at an oceanfront restaurant on the way back to the boat and watch the sunset while enjoying a cocktail!

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
We've never done an excursion here and the beach is not within walking distance. The town however is beautiful with bright buildings and artichecture. Beautiful place to walk around a few hours.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
This was interesting, I wouldn't do it again but the history was neat. A group of people from the canal come on to drive the boat through and navigate vocally the whole time so you learn allot.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Free beach at the Port ( bring snorkel gear from home) you can snorkel off the Pier. You can also rent gear, kayaks, paddleboards, etc. There is a chair lift to transport you around for a fee. Lovely port and free.

Belize City, Belize

Nothing to do at this port unless you do an excursion and you have to tender in. We stayed on the boat here but have done the cave tubing and zip lining here which was great.

Cozumel, Mexico

Lots to do here, beach clubs, catamaran, snorkel. Pretty water.
