Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Good food and drink. I hit Guy’s Burgers after dropping off bags in the cabin and then met my sister at the Lido buffet and we started filling our bellies. The food on the buffet was always good to me. There were times when it could have been hotter but for the most part, it was warm enough to enjoy. I loved the variety of dishes that were available. In addition to Guy’s Burgers, we had Blue Iguana, dinners in the Main Dining Room and also had one dinner in the Steakhouse. The MDR food was pretty good. It could have been hotter but it wasn’t bad at all. The food in the steakhouse - absolutely yummy! I had filet prepared medium rare and the steak cut like butter. The lobster bisque never disappoints. Pavel was our server. He was excellent as his job. After all the courses, I was pretty much rolled out of there. Alfredo, Sahin and Jenkins were our servers in the MDR. They did not disappoint. They were attentive, friendly and very helpful to my sister since it was her first cruise. She could not believe that she was allowed to order multiple items but Alfredo made sure to explain that she could try as many items as she wanted. She did not waste food but she did overeat. She was funny because every night she was stuffed. Lol

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did not spend much time on any activities but did meet some friends in the Serenity area. It was nice and people seem to be enjoying themselves.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We visited the comedy shows. Our favorite comedian was someone by the name of Tim Young. We only attended the R rated shows. That man was hilarious.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Jean Marc - Red Frog Tequila Bar - Lido Deck Alexander - Casino Host Alfredo, Sahin and Jenkins - Main Dining Room Waiters Pavel - David’s Steakhouse Christine - Cabin Steward Aura - Atrium Bar Bartender I will definitely remember these folks. They made the cruise even better.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is showing her age but is very clean. My sister remarked at how clean it was. We always found employees cleaning things.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean and furniture a bit outdated. The cabin was showing its age but it was always clean.

Ship tip

The one piece of advice I would give someone about to sail on Carnival Pride is that it is an older ship. There is not a whole lot of extras on board like they have on the newer ship but what it lacks in these things, more than make up for in the service, cleanliness and friendly personnel.

Disembarkation

We had Faster to the Fun. We were told to arrive in the Red Frog Pub - Deck 2 at 8:15 a.m. We were heading there at 7:50 a.m. and was told that we could disembark. We were off the ship, in a Uber and home within a few hours. Easy and quick.
