Review summary

Overall I had an amazing time on my very first cruise. The Cruise Director Cookie was phenomenal! His energy along with the energy of his team was always upbeat and fun. This definitely made my experience 100 times better.

The food was pretty good. We opted to eat here instead of the MDR for breakfast and lunch

This is where the comedy nights And bingo was. Had a great time doing both activities. Seating is comfortable and the staff was always available for drinks and etc.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship itself is a very beautiful ship and the staff kept it clean. However, the wear and tear on this ship is overwhelming. There is rust everywhere and overall you can visually see this ship is an older ship in need of some serious tlc.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This cabin was clean. However, again, with the age of the ship, some things need to be retouched. The balcony has rust all over it. The railing on the balcony in this room is chipped up with very rough and sharp pieces. You have to be careful to look before you grab, otherwise, you may end up with a scrape or cut. I also notice splatters of what looks like white paint all over the chairs on the balcony as well. When looking over the balcony, you see the lifeboats right below you and there are splatters of white paint all over that as well. Inside, the handheld shower also had bits of rust on it but other than that the steward kept the room very clean. The beds are super comfortable as well.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Unfortunately we missed this port due to a medical emergency with a passenger. We went straight to Nassau instead

Nassau, Bahamas

We did an overnight here at Nassau so my family and I explored this port twice. The first day we walked straight to Junkanoo Beach. The walk was very long and we were literally hounded by the locals the entire way there. The beach itself was free however you have to pay for use of chairs and an umbrella. Drinks and food was also available at costs. To avoid the constant hounding from the locals, we took a taxi back to the port from the beach which only cost 4 bucks person. The second day we decided to explore the local vendors that were inside the gates of the port only. Most of them were pretty much selling the same things so you have to look around for the best prices.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Freeport was as expected , very industrial. Inside the port, there are vendors and food shops. We did the Glassbottom excursion here which was just ok.
