Review summary

This was our 2nd cruise and our 9 year old's first.  She had a blast in the pool, she loved kid camp and REALLY loved Guy's Burgers.  We ate in the dining room every night except one and were satisfied with the choices of appetizers and entrees.  As much as we loved the warm chocolate melting cake, we skipped dessert half of the time to go to the family comedy shows.  The comedians were great and my daughter couldn't get enough of them.  Our biggest complaint was the hard mattress on the bed also, there is a vibration on the odd room number side and aft where the dining room is which didn't bother us but does other people.  Overall, we would definitely cruise again on the Pride!

Not the best balcony view. It was adequate and we enjoyed our balcony but the view was partially obscured with lifeboats and other equipment below us. I like to watch the wake of the ship directly below because you can see the flying fish! Good location to elevators and central to everything.

We went to Universal studios with a Carnival excursion. It was expensive but worth the $ knowing we wouldn't miss the ship. Universal was very busy the day we were there so we wouldn't do this again. Next time we'd probably go to beach, air boat ride or Kennedy space.

Nassau, Bahamas

We did a day resort pass at the Melia, it was wonderful and highly recommend. Nassau is a busy city and not very relaxing unless you get out of city center.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

There is nothing at the cruise terminal. It is an industrial port. Also, on this itinerary you're only in port a short time so I wouldn't risk doing a non ship excursion risking missing the boat. We did the dolphin encounter through Carnival and it was AWESOME!!!! We would do this a hundred times over Universal again (if you're deciding on where to put your $ there's way cheaper stuff to do in Port Canaveral) It was raining and cloudy our day here and it was still all of our favorite experience by far.
