Review summary

The Carnival pride is a small ship, only 3 pools and hot tubs, 1 adult only of each. The hot tubs are not very hot and the pools colder. Even with the 2 water slides, there isnt much for kids to do on the ship. The staff is great. I really liked the Piano bar player and a few of the shows. The male acoustic guitar player was also excellent.

Our cruise took us to 6 different islands and was very good except the first sea day when we cut across the current and had rough seas and winds. The entertainment was fair. Some shows were way too loud with enough bass to stop your heart, others were done just right and quite enjoyable.

The food was ok. Dining room was good and so was lunch, but the buffet was small and not very appealing. Breakfast was the standard with nothing really to make it stand out.

Food and Dining

Dinner buffet needs help. Very limited dining choice for dinner outside the dining room.

Their idea of 80's Trivia is Cheers. Out of 20 questions, 8 were cheers, 3 Night Court, and 3 Golden Girls. They need to mix things up a bit. Also, the hot tubs are very cool, and only 2 pools which were even colder.

Entertainment

Some shows were great, a couple were way too loud and the bass was enough to give you a full body massage leading to a heart attack. Lots of people left the Getaway Island show early because of it. The piano bar player was awesome and most of the other shows were good.

Our cabin was great outside a little rattling of the doors.

Take the local bus system for a dollar a person instead of the over inflated Taxis.

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
Local Taxis will give you an island tour with beach for $20 a person, dont pay the $50 from the cruise line.

Roseau, Dominica

Dont be alone with electronics. Had a local try to steal my laptop even in a crowd of people. Everything is closed on Sunday, so do an excursion or beach if you go then.

Castries, St. Lucia

Getting to the twin Pitons and the Volcano is cool, but its a long drive with lots of twists and ups and downs.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Best place to buy souvenirs. Lots of shops and a nice beach in easy walking or water taxi ride.
