Review summary

This cruise was nice, short & sweet. Bimini is an island that I don’t ever care to visit again. The island is literally 7 miles from one end to the other. We rented one 6 seater golf cart & one 4 seater cart. We drove to the other end of the island, ate food, & hung out on the beach. Be careful though. There are a looooot of sting rays that come very close to the shore. Guests had to get out of the ocean for a bit. The water is beautiful. People are nice. We saw 2 workers fighting over a golf cart. I have the video posted on my tiktok if interested. call_me_honeyb

Embarkation

It was super quick. As soon as I was done adding money to my sail & sign card, it was ready for me to walk onboard. I went straight to my muster station to complete the safety drill, dropped my luggage off at my cabin, & up to Lido I went. It was super easy. Probably one of the easiest & quickest embarkations I’ve EVER experienced.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The ONLY thing I looked forward to was Mongolian Wok. The larger, newer ships no longer have it on the vessels 😪. I had my mouth set & ready for it ~ literally my first stop on Lido. Maaan, lemme tell ya, it was terrible! That was the ONLY time I went, when I would normally go everyday. I don’t know what happened. The cook definitely overcooked it. I was not the only one unhappy about it. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the other eateries, especially my crablegs from Seafood Shack. I didn’t allow that to ruin my cruise though.

Onboard Activities

My boys enjoyed the pools, slides, & sports. There were no complaints there. Just make sure that if you’re going to the kids club on Deck 12 from the pool area, be careful. The steps are extremely slippery. My 9 year old fell down about 5 steps & scraped his arm & bruised both sides of his back. Two crew members saw it & helped get him up. They insisted on calling a supervisor, escorting him to medical ~ all of this was BEFORE setting sail. #LeSigh He was ok, thankfully. Their speedy response & concern was top notch & greatly appreciated.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I didn’t watch any stage shows or comedians. I did go to the club once ~ which is unlike me. I stayed for about 30 minutes. This cruise was for my younger sons to enjoy themselves. I mainly chilled. DJ was ok.

Children's Programs

The 9 year old enjoyed his. The 13 year old never went to his. He’s such an introvert. The 9 year old asked to go back. That was a plus!

Service and Staff

The ONLY complaint I have is about my room steward. We had a “visibly” nasty comforter on our bed. Meaning blood stains & brown stains smeared on it. There were dirty women’s underwear beside the bed where my son slept. It was visibly there. I don’t see how he didn’t see it. We requested all linen be pulled & replaced. The steward ensured that he’d do it right away. We took his word for it. We left for a little while. Came back, under the assumption that it was pulled & changed. We didn’t “look” for it. The next morning when we got up, I saw the exact same comforter was still on the bed. WTF?! I did alert guest services about it. He finally came & changed it. He asked where was the stain at. Sir, it really doesn’t matter, just please change it. As for the other personnel, everyone was great. And Val (our dining room server) was absolutely amazing with an amazing voice!! I hope you luck up & get him.

Cabin / Stateroom

See other review that entails my cabin experience. Size was fine. I always choose a balcony stateroom. I had them open the partition to have a bigger balcony. My daughter’s cabin was right next to mine.

Ship tip

It’s a smaller vessel & everything is within close proximity. I’ve become so accustomed to the newer vessels that I forgot just how nice the smaller, older vessels are.

Disembarkation

It’s a whole new process. You choose your disembarkation time in the app, which I didn’t do. In fact, it didn’t even allow me to. My zone 3 luggage tags were in my cabin. If you can, PLEASE have a passport. That will be the FASTEST exit you could ever begin to imagine, as it’s face recognition, & you’re out quickly. Now for the birth certificates, whew, that’s a whole different story. And because my boys don’t have passports & I do, I still had to go through the birth certificate line. It’s all good though. It wasn’t too bad, although I prefer the face recognition any day!
