Carnival Liberty

Sail date: January 27, 2019

Ship: Carnival Liberty

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

The first night it stormed which caused rough seas. The crew took special care to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. Throughout the trip the crew was always polite and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. The ship was clean, food was great and the strings trio was so good it kept us going back for more shows. Looking forward to booking another cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My mother has difficulty walking. She was brought a wheelchair and in less than 15 minutes we were settling into our cabin! Awesome staff!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I cruise to relax so I avoid the main dining rooms. But the buffets and Guys Burgers were excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn't participate in any of the activities but everyone that did seemed to be having a great time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The strings trio was wonderful. I'd like to see a variety of performances like that throughout the day. We sailed on the Liberty in May when Donkey was still on board. NoNo was great but I missed Donkeys humor.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I never had to ask for anything more than once. Our room steward, Ady was amazing.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean. We didn't see anything in need of repair.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was kept clean, the room size was ok and the balcony had plenty of room.

Ship tip

Get a room with a balcony. It's worth every penny. The crew works hard for you so be polite and don't forget to tip them!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
We embarked here. My mother is 72 and has difficulty walking or standing for long periods of time. I was hoping for a little help getting her on and off the ship at Canaveral. What I got was service above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Everyone was very respectful to her, got her a wheelchair and whisked us through the whole process in what had to be record time! It meant so much to both of us. Thanks!

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau is a beautiful port but a little too hustle & bustle for me. Still, the people are friendly and it's a nice place to get out and enjoy something different from the everyday grind.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
Still my favorite port. It's much more laid back and relaxing. A quick, pleasant cab ride and there's tons of stuff to see and do.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Just as amazing as our embarkation. The staff again got my elderly mother a wheelchair and before we knew it we were in the truck on our way home. I can't say enough about how wonderfully they treated my mother and how efficient they were.
