Review summary
We have cruised Carnival 7 times before and by far this has been the very BEST!!! This is our 16th cruise and we would rate this in the top three...the ship was the best Carnival ship we've sailed on...clean and very tastefully decorated. All other Carnival ships have been way over the top in an almost gawdy, Las Vegas type decor. The Liberty is beautiful, especially the atrium. Rooms were about the same as other ships...we were in a balcony room and enjoyed the balcony as often as we could when the smokers were off doing other things. This was about the only annoying problem we can see...both on the balcony and having to pass by the stinky casino....but that's par for every cruise, although we have been on three cruise ships that ban smoking completely (I don't know if any non-smoking ships still exist). The three we went on have changed and are no longer non-smoking. Such a bummer!!! The cruise lines could maybe have one side of the ship non smoking so the balconies could be used by all, at all time. Just sayin'. The Chef needs a raise!!! Some of the best food, consistently, in the dining room we've ever had! There is no need to go to the expensive restaurants to receive fine dining...very pleasant surprise that made this trip outstanding. Even the more expensive cruises we've been on have not had food this good. Guys Burgers, Fish 'n Chips, Burrito-taco Bar and The Deli...all awesome! Very easy embarkation and getting off...we did book a shore excursion for Miami which was okay, but we had to wait in the motor coach for a very late family!!! Everyone else seemed to adhere to the time frame, but it's always the few who make the rest wait. Over all...terrific time...I will be looking at other itineraries the Liberty sails to.Ship experiences

Take your breakfast upstairs to the Fish 'n Chips location for a quiet morning dining. We also used this locale to play cards and visit when the Fish 'n Chips bar was closed.
