Review summary

Overall, a disappointing cruise. We are platinum with Carnival, but we are seriously considering switching to another cruise line. My advice: raise fares as much as necessary to maintain standards.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The steakhouse was wonderful. The main dining room has declined in both what is offered and the quality of the food. No more salmon on Seaday brunch or on the Main Dining every day dinner menu. Order the cheese plate for desert if you want a laugh. The cheese pieces, which were always nice sized wedges are now smaller than a dice.

Our stateroom attendant Ian was wonderful!!

Ship Quality

The issue with the common areas is that there are no really comfortable places to lounge. Weather was iffy most days, so you couldn't sit out on the open decks. Compare to Holland America or Celebrity; both have couches and easy chairs (WITH throw pillows) all over the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

We had no hot water for most of the cruise. This was reported multiple times to Guest Services. We alsohad an incessant tapping noise in our cabin.
