Review summary

Overall, I enjoyed my cruise. I enjoyed many of the activities and entertainment that were offered on the ship and there were some things that could be improved but outside of those things I had a great time.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth and easy. Our check-in time was 10AM. We walked straight through got our muster drill out the way and enjoyed lunch on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our main dining room was Festivale. We only went in there twice and that was for both elegant nights. Each time was mediocre plus we miss the actual dancing during show time…now they sing solos. We have been on so many cruises that we have outgrown the dining room. So we ate other places at night and we definitely took advantage of Emeril’s Bistro 1397. Everything was highly seasoned and delicious. BUT that Banana’s Foster OMG idk what is in that however, it is very addicting lol. I ate it three different times. 😋 We made reservations at Rudi’s Seagrill that too was delicious. I ordered the lobster Mac n Cheese, seafood bisque, halibut, and apple cheesecake. It was all so, so good. ChaBang was good as always and Cucina.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
As far as on board activities we really enjoyed playing in the arcade. Now about the casino…..everyday/night we would go in the casino and there would be little to no machines to play on. People were holding machines for others or playing two machines at once. Then some people will hover over you until they ran you away from the machine so they can get on and play. Even though were 3-4 sections of the Casino Maybe Carnival needs to expand or enforce some rules and regulations.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the shows on this cruise especially Most Magnificent Circus. This was also the last show for the performers from the inaugural sailing. Bitter sweet moment, but fantastic show. I also enjoyed the Love and Marriage show. The evolution party hosted by the DJ was very good, too. I am a platinum member so I enjoyed the diamond & platinum member party, and hearing the stories of other cruisers

Service and Staff

Sweet people and quick service

Ship Quality

Nice new look. I loved my bathroom and the updates to the bathrooms in the staterooms. Bed were comfy as always. Everywhere you looked there was always a staff member cleaning something.

Ports of call

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
I love this port! From the helping of the guys in the bicycles helping you get there quicker to the shopping and taking photos. We would’ve did a tour, but we didn’t get off with enough time to spare.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I really enjoyed this port we got off and did a tour to the mountain top which was very beautiful with nice people. We also stopped at some markets, talked to the locals, bought some souvenirs, and headed back to the ship.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
After coming to this port, many times doing various excursions and tours (which we loved). We now like to get off, capture some photos and head to Señor frogs for delicious drinks, entertainment and food. Though we like authentic cuisine as well.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, but cluttered because it was early whereas we usually head to the Lido deck and wait until a later time to be dismissed. Luggage was easy to find.
