Review summary

It started bad with after booking thinking we were going thru the new locks we had to change ships which cost us $200. Then the itinerary was changed because of one engine not working so they took away 5 hours of port time. I was ill and the folio for medical bills and my credit card was $30 more than the receipt they gave me to submit to my insurance. I am still trying to correct that issue.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Everything was delicious and the free specialty restaurant was the best. After 6 days the food in the buffet got a little tiresome as it changed very little. Some drinks seemed to lack alcohol.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools were nice but a little hard for me to use as I am 5 feet and there were no low water areas. We did enjoy the bingo and casino and won over $400 in the casino. Also the movies under the stars are always a treat.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were not as good as some have but the magician was very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and our room steward Rose was exceptional. My husband got lost twice and everyone was very helpful in helping him find our cabin.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Everything was very clean but the halls were too small for me to get my rolator walker through if the cleaning was being done. Also the door to our cabin was too small to get my rolator walker thru and my husband had to fold it up and lift it into the room which was difficult as he has a bad back and is 72 yrs. of age. This is the first time I have had this issue.

Cabin / Stateroom

Everything was fine except for the small door.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

We were running late because a passenger was ill and we had to return to port everglades. They kept announcing to stay on board and go later to avoid the rush and since I was using the rolator we did. When we got to the Island and walked around, had a drink and then I went to use the restroom. The toilet seat in the handicap stall fell off onto the floor and then there was no soap. I informed the lady sitting outside the door and she just looked at me while she continued talking on her phone. I watched and she never moved or called anyone to fix everything. We then went to the BBQ they had advertised only to see it had all been torn down by 2:00 even when we had been delayed 2 hours in going there and the excursion was to go till 5:00 so of course we had nothing to eat. We complained to the service desk about all this and no one ever got back to us other than to offer a bottle of champagne which we both hate.

We only shopped at the port and it was raining and the shuttle to and from the port was terrible!! Every other ship there had shuttles continuing to run back & forth but we had to wait & wait for Princess.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
This was what we went on the cruise for and to experience the new locks. They took good pictures of us & our sign and also came up to our cabin to interview us.

Colon, Panama Did not visit port

Not enough time there.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Did not visit port
