Review summary

This ship, from Royal Caribbean, is the "SISTER" ship of the Oasis that we were on in Jan. of 2016 and they are BOTH JUST TOO-TOO BIG for 70 year old's to walk around!!

NOW....for the "YOUNGER" Group this is a GREAT SHIP for sure! There were 5,500 people on board for this cruise and 1,500 of the count were CHILDREN!!

So much to do for them~~~If I was a KID I would have a BLAST!!

They NEED an ADULT ONLY POOL and NOT just for the HIGH ROLLERS on the 17th Deck!

This is our LAST Cruise on a ship of this size for sure!

We're cruising in Nov. with Holland America on the ms Koningsdam and they have a Total Capacity of 2,650~~~PERFCT SIZE!!!

We were HOPING our Balcony cabin WOULD have been just a LITTLE Larger! No COUCH and ONLY ONE CHAIR to sit on! Screaming kids in the one cabin next to us and BELIEVE it or NOT a BARKING DOG in the cabin on our other side!!! Sure "THOUGHT", for the price, NONE of the ABOVE would have HAPPENED!!

Ship tip

DO NOT get a CABIN on Deck 14!!!! ESPECIALLY 14-650 as this cabin is right below the pool area and they THROW the chairs around and it sounded like they were coming through our stateroom ceiling! They did this TWICE A DAT too!!

You'll love Holland America but unfortunately many of us in our 50's and 60's are still to young for Holland. lol

Glad to hear you are living it up in your 70s. I want to be like you and plaaning my future to actually retire from nursing at 65 to enjoy family and vacations far more then! You would like Celebrity lines. I thought they were the most luxurious I have seen but food is not seasoned very well. Probably for more salt/fat restricted diets but had the most seafood on any line I have tried thus far. Yes, and look into the smaller lines, although I dont know which have deals as good as Holland, my next line to try. Let us know how it goes!

They do have an adult only pool in the solarium.

Don't knock ALL people in their 70s! My mother is 72 and has cruised on Allure numerous times with no issues. We're going again together in July. Who says you have to walk the entire ship!
