Review summary

This is our second cruise on Adventure of the Seas. I don't recall having any problems on the first cruise, but this time we had quite a few more. Ranging from the toilet in stateroom being out of order to elevators constantly being out of order. Issues were resolved as quickly as possible but still inconvenient. Overall the ship is great. Some areas such as cabins and other carpeted areas could use some TLC or a makeover, but does not inhibit vacation. Food was satisfactory unless you ate something with cheese sauce or Alfredo  - it all tasted like nutmeg. A lot of nutmeg. Not really suitable for nachos. The main dining room food was very good. We requested a table for two. Unfortunately, it was surrounded by six tables of 10+. We often waits a long time to get our plates removed or to get another refill. Our servers were great, the location of a two-top was bad and their workload was just too much. Sea day was overly crowded in any public area. Shows were ok, but game shows were super fun!!! This itinerary was excellent!

Great location! Midship/aft part of the ship was very calm. Far enough away from elevators but quick access to them too! We loved being a few decks up or down from the Windjammer, our Dining room, NextCruise and bars. It was still very quiet but quick access! Cabin is spacious for two. Balcony is great! Carpet and couch a bit outdated and used but no big deal. Vanity with extra storage is across from couch, next to TV. Nice to get ready and not be isolated! There was a drawer that stuck which was frustrating... But again no big deal. Closets spacious with plenty of hangers. Great shelving. Easy to stowaway suitcases under beds. Mattress not great at all! Overall good cabin.

Ship tip

Don't go to Johnny Rockets near (any port of call) boarding time - it'll be crazy! The whole ship is crowded on sea days. Head to dinner earlier than early if you want to catch an elevator! Build up some endurance to take the stairs often.
