When I was there in August 2022 they had a free shuttle to downtown Sitka. It’s a 15 minute walk from there to the historical park. There’s an Information kiosk and the people there are very helpful. They give you a free map. If you have mobility issues ask the information desk about public transportation or taxi/Lyft/Ubers. It was POURING when I went there so the map disintegrated. I still walked around and stayed dry in my rain pants & jacket. Another tip: invest in rain pants instead of an umbrella they keep you drier.
