WOW, I completely agree with your assessment of the headlining acts in the Stardust. I caught some terrible comedian named "Fred" who's material is as forgettable as his last name. After five minutes of his "jokes" everyone around me was being disturbed by my snoring. This guy was better than a Valium. Then I made my second mistake, going to the Frank Sinatra-Big Band show with some singalike guy. He was the WORST singer to attempt Sinatra--with a thin, reedy voice without a TRACE of the richness of tone that made Sinatra. The band was pretty good, keeping with the "singer" who strutted around the stage more like Jagger than Sinatra. I was embarrassed being caught in the middle of a row that made it impossible to walk out, I shrunk into my seat until the fake "standing ovation" was over. The only good show was the Motown one, with the faux-Temptations but I had to listen from the corridor. They sounded good but have no idea of their staging. As for the house band and DJs who cares? They are background, maybe a little loud but easy to escape. Check out my videos and see if your experience was anything like mine.
