The trouble with entertainment is that there is a limited amount that can be done in an attempt to please the most people. Although you may like Latin music, others may enjoy 50's, Jazz, Classical, Be-Bop, etc. The line cannot satisfy everyone's desires, so they try to satisfy the most at a cost to the least.

Not sure what happened with the accident (someone slipped in some vomit?), nor am I sure of what you said to customer service to lead her to believe you were asking for compensation. It is possible that even though you only asked that the mess be cleaned, she may have understood differently.
