Great Greek Isles cruise on the Jewell of the Seas
A great, great cruise from start to finish. The ports of call were all amazing. The history and beauty are breathtaking. The ship was in excellent shape. Dinner and the wait staff in the main dining room was excellent.

Empress of the Seas: A little less than good but better than poor. 2.5 Stars
Small, older ship. Small cabins, small shower. No refrigerator in room. Food was as expected, not great but not bad. Not a lot to do on board but had most of the usual things you would expect to have on a cruise as far as planned activities. Might be a good ship for a short cruise, but save your money on the Jr. Suites. I thought the service was good, especially in the main dining room for dinner. We went to Chop's Grill one night and the food was excellent as it should be with the additional charge.

Jewel of the Seas
Save your money on Chop's Grill and order in Main Dining room if you want a good filet steak and lobster tail. Pay the surcharge there. It's a better value than paying $35 per person at Chop's and then having to pay at least another $20 - $30 per person if you want seafood (the seafood tower or lobster tail).
Beautiful.
Good but expect a harried experience being shuffled from one overly crowded tourist attraction to the next.
Empress of the Seas
Maybe think twice about spending the extra money for a Jr. Suite; and if you do book a Jr. Suite, make sure check out where the room is located unless you don't mind listening to the constant thumping of music at all hours of the day and night.
