Relaxing getaway

We had a great relaxing holiday. And were that relaxed that we probably didn’t use all that was to offer. Food was ok, it could have been better. The menus were a bit hot and miss. Food in windjammer was better that the main restaurant.

Norwegian Spirit

January 2015 - 10 Night Canary Islands & Morocco (Barcelona Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We travelled as a family of 7 in three cabins. For an older ship, she was in great condition with good food, entertainment and activities. Our grandson who was 3 at the time loved the kids club, and the glass lifts. Food and service were very good, but I am not a fan of free time dining, as you don't get to know your waiting staff, which is always fun. All in all a great family holiday

Ryndam

July 2014 - 7 Night Norse Legends (Dover Roundtrip) Cruise on Ryndam

We have been on this ship twice and enjoyed ourselves both times, we travelled with teenagers. The kids club is very good and the teens have there own private area at the top of the ship, which our son enjoyed. Food was good, but service was slow, and it did not seem to matter whether we booked a table or not we still had to wait. Entertainment was great, varying from a guitar player in a bar to shows in the main area, we found them all to be really enjoyable.

MSC Splendida

December 2012 - 7 Night Western Mediterranean (Barcelona roundtrip) Cruise on MSC Splendida

Travelled as a family of 4, we had a great week onboard the splendida. The staff were very good, food was lovely in the main restaurant and facilities on board were good, although it was a bit cold in December to use the main pools. We did use the jacuzzis, a lot. Check times that services and activities are open, especially the 4d cinema, we never got to see it, as it wasn't open when we went.

Norwegian Epic

October 2011 - 7 Night Western Mediterranean (Barcelona roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Epic

We travelled as a group of 4 in 2 cabins, 1 inside and 1 balcony. The rooms are very nice, not to everyone's liking I bet, especially the frosted glass on the shower and toilet, that are in the rooms, but it gave us a few laughs. The ship is amazing, so much to see and do, entertainment was wonderful, again so much to see and do, you can't really see everything. Food was good, service was good, but as with other ships, we had some problems with the free time dining, even when tables were booked, there seemed to always be a wait, but it was worth it. Would recommend this ship to families as the entertainment and pools are great.

Cruise tips

Navigator of the Seas

Navigator of the Seas

There is only one place to get food between 4pm and 6pm. And that is the cafe promenade. On days were the sail away is around 5-6 it get reduculously busy and cannot cope. So have that in mind.
